It all started when childhood friends Arta Mandegari and Salman Eskandari studied at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden. They volunteered, evenings and weekends, to offer free math tutoring to children from Gothenburg's suburbs. After graduation, they chose to follow different career paths in management consulting, finance, and entrepreneurship. In 2015/16, they decided to pick up where they left off at Chalmers. They quit their jobs and put everything on the line to create what would become Albert.
Now, over hundreds of thousands of families and millions of children around the world have been helped by Albert's to reach higher levels of knowledge and to reach their full potential.
Today, Albert is a leading European EdTech group with a presence in around 10 countries with six strong local brands. Albert has a turnover of over SEK 200 million, of which approximately half stems from the school market (B2B) and the remaining half from the consumer market (B2C). The group has approximately 140 employees whom all work together towards the vision of giving all children a learning experience that suits them. What started with mathematics is on its way to becoming a comprehensive and curriculum-aligned platform with over ten subjects for digital and individualized study support both at home and at school.
Since October 2021, Albert is listed on the Nasdaq First North Growth Market.
